The award winning 16th Century freehouse in the village of Swilland in rural Suffolk.
 
Our pub is renouned for it's range of cask ales served direct from the tap room, for it's homemade dishes using ingredients sourced from local suppliers, farmers, growers and game keepers, for it's beautiful patio gardens and for it's warmth and friendliness.

We stock a wide range of real ales from the local brewers of East Anglia.

 Currently we have the following ales in our tap room:
 
Woodforde's Sundew and Wherry, Wolf's Golden Jackal and Wolf Ale and Buffy's Little Terrier.

 
Our menu includes a selection of special dishes made on site freshly each day

 Our current menu includes a Catalan Fish Stew, Lamb Kleftico, Wild Rabbit Pie, Tiger Prawns and Roasted Vegetable Lasagne as well as the popular traditional pub favourites including Steak and Kidney Pie, Home Cooked Ham with Egg and chips, Rump Steak, Chicken Casserole and a range of tempting homemade puddings.
